About the Author

 

Hello! My name is Danielle. I’m a twenty-something Colorado native, constantly in the pursuit of progress throughout all areas of life. Colorado bred and born, I am lucky to exist in a space that lends itself towards leading the type of life I LOVE – active and adventurous, filled with natural beauty and the blessing that is an abundance of animals. It was not always so, and it has not been simple to tear down and rebuild a life I can be proud of. This is an ongoing process, but I am determined to relentlessly continue onwards and upwards.

I spent my childhood barefoot, husky and happy, running around in a suburban neighborhood surrounded by swamp, pasture, and wilderness just south of Denver. I grew with a burgeoning weight problem into a hard-headed teenager with a fierce love for horses and persistent thirst for knowledge. I decided to follow my passion into college and pursue a simple AAS in Equine Business Management.

During this time I fell into a horrible pit of inactivity and piss poor nutrition. My goals stagnated and I inflated to a very unhealthy 272 lbs. I realized I had failed myself. I re-set my goals. I spent copious amounts of time educating myself about proper nutrition and activity and began setting new, ambitious, progressive goals. I have since completed that first degree, lost over 122 lbs, and reduced almost 45% of my body weight, and have revamped my goals once again.
I've now lost over 122 lbs
I seek to always make strides towards better health, learn and implement new and useful skills, and always be adventurous. I am here now to help inspire others do the same. Helping you will help me. I hope to keep that cycle going to provide myself and all of you with ever more relevant information and inspiration.

Meet my main Team!

This is (left to right)Charlie, a german shepherd mix and my best friend. Morgan, a little pitbull mix who needed a second…scratch that, a fourth chance, and Leroy the monstrous product of a stray female and a feral tom cat. They provide me with so much life and inspiration, and I’ll be sure to share them, their shenanigans,  and lovely energy with you too!
